Punxatawney Phil saw his shadow today so allegedly, we're due for another six more weeks of winter. I'm not complaining though, as it's been a pretty mild winter thus far. We've had a few 60 degree weekends and I've been able to eat my lunch outside most days. If this is winter, bring it.
However...there's another groundhog by the name of Staten Island Chuck who did *not* see his shadow today. Who knew he existed? All of New York, apparently. Staten Island Chuck's handlers say that he's been correct 80% of the time for the past thirty years. Here's hoping he's right.
Also of note: in 2009, Staten Island Chuck bit NYC Mayor Bloomberg on the finger. Ha, that's my kind of groundhog.
