MLK Weekend, Part 2: Nashville

Sunday morning, J and I drove around the Redstone Arsenal before heading up to Nashville. Our first stop was the Ryman Auditorium, formerly a church and later the original home to the Grand Old Opry. It was a pretty amazing building with lots of history made within its walls.

Nashville is a fun city, though perhaps less so with a baby in tow. Apparently, the bars won't allow patrons to bring children with them after 6pm. Toddlers, I understand--no one wants little kids running around their establishments, getting into things, making lots of noise, or disrupting other customers. But an infant? Baby mostly likely would have slept through everything and J would have had her strapped to his chest in the Ergo. We just wanted to listen to some live music. Probably for the best though, as we ended up at Acme, which served amazing (non-bar) food.

On a side note, while checking into our hotel in downtown Nashville, we ran into AT, a friend and former Specter colleague who I hadn't seen in four years. That was pretty awesome. Small, small world.
