That's me in the back, recording sexes and tag numbers on a clipboard. Way better than sitting in front of a laptop all day.
I also sprayed promectin on castrated and dehorned calves. J's dad said I could learn to castrate on Sunday when we brand the rest of the herd in conjunction with a neighbor's branding.
We branded about fifty today using the calf table. Saturday and Sunday will feature guys (and a gal!) on horseback roping calves, with the younger folk wrestling them to the ground. Should be a good time.
