Thank God It's Hump Day. Even working from home, I'm glad the week is almost half over.
We finally had our first "real" weekend in San Antonio...which we mostly spent unpacking and grocery shopping. We did make it to the Strawberry Festival, just half an hour south of SA, and squeezed in an amazing dinner at El Mirador with one of J's Air Force buddies, after which yours truly braved the madness that is Mi Tierra (touristy restaurant with mediocre Mexican food but a great bakery) to pick up some amazing pastries and tres leches cake. Yum.
More to say later on settling in, but it's going.

J took this photo because I didn't want to be "that (Asian) girl (with the camera)."
The guy on the far left doesn't look amused.
It was *delicious*.
Sunset over the fair
Near the entrance to the rides, aka deathtraps
Don't get me wrong -- I love ferris wheels, but this one looked
somewhat rickety.
Kids getting ready to chase calves -- I initially saw a cowboy on horseback
and was hoping that he'd be roping kids, but no such luck.
