I just received a Christmas card in the mail from J. A homemade one, to be exact. And it was *good*. My jaw actually dropped when I opened the envelope and pulled out the multi-layered card. J had used green, yellow, and blue card stock to create the Sandhills on a sunny winter day and glued a tiny picture of us in the foreground. But what made the card really special was that J covered the hills in a thin layer of cotton snow, drew and cut out tiny pine trees, and used a pocket knife to carve a little white fence out of paper. Blew my mind. Who knew that my husband was so crafty? He’s full of surprises, that one.
Totally made my day.
