Our time in Korea is sadly at an end. After J finished work, we headed up to Seoul on Saturday morning (almost missed the bus!) and spent our entire afternoon at the War Memorial, an incredible memorial and military museum located on the site of Korea's former army headquarters. It was such a sobering testament to the deaths of hundreds of thousands, the intense suffering of millions, and the heroism and bravery of their fighters. Upon leaving, J and I both felt moved, saddened, and inspired, as well as frustrated to think of what could have been had the United States finished the job it started.
We once again met up with our friend, P, who showed us around Gangnam, and we continued to eat our way through Seoul. I can't believe we have to leave this place! Even the mall food courts have food far superior to most restaurants in the States. We paused our eating tour to visit Bongeunsa, a beautiful Buddhist temple in Gangnam founded in 794. I loved the serenity in the midst of a bustling city.

Tomorrow, we fly to Tokyo. So excited to return to Japan, where the story of J and me first began...
