Babymoon Weekend

We decided to take another mini-babymoon last month and spent a marvelous weekend at Red Crags Bed & Breakfast Inn down in Manitou Springs. Voted "Colorado's Most Romantic B&B" by the Denver Post, Red Crags didn't disappoint. The accommodations and grounds were beautifully manicured, and breakfast was delicious. J and I didn't want to leave our room, but we managed to eat our way through the Springs, visit Garden of the Gods (free and absolutely stunning), and also hit up the Manitou Cave Dwellings (not worth the time or ten bucks) before meeting up at Cave of the Winds with one of J's old friends from intel school.

Day 2 was spent sleeping in and checking out the Air Force Academy, where Jason attended jump school during his ROTC days, before brunching with some dear friends stationed at Peterson AFB. We're trying to make the most of our time before Baby Girl Parsons makes her appearance. It's not been easy, given Jason's exhausting work schedule, but at least living in Colorado provides us with spectacular scenery that's almost in our backyard.
