Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument was a totally unexpected but amazing stop in New Mexico. I did a quick Google search on my phone while we were a few hours east of Santa Fe and discovered this otherworldly landscape. We didn't have much time since we arrived at the park only a few hours before closing, but we were able to check out the tent rocks and trek through the slot canyons before noshing on some surprisingly delicious Thai food in Albuquerque (who knew Albuquerque had so many Asian people?) and crashing in Gallup for a night.
